Vietnam Business visa applicants must meet the following requirements. Remember you can also purchase one of our VIP services to help you manage most of these requirements for you and get your visa faster:
- Visa Application: Applicant must submit one completed visa application receipt. The application is completed online using the link below. Once the page loads you will see a warning in Vietnamese, which translates to “You have 15 minutes to fill the form. Field with (*) is required” – click “Ok”. You may then select “English” from the top right and complete the application form. You will see a photo upload tool. You DO NOT need to do this, an original photo must be submitted with the application regardless. Once completed, print and sign the confirmation. Confirmation should be printed single-sided, and signed in blue or black ink only.
- Photo Requirement: Applicant must submit two (2) identical, color, passport style photographs (no glasses may be worn). The photos must be recent and generally should not be the same used for the passport itself.
If ordering concierge service or Document Pre-Check, you may upload digital photos through your account at no additional cost. Otherwise you can choose to submit digital photos to us via email after placing your order. Simply email them to orders@travelvisapro.com with the applicants full name and order number in the subject line. Additional $20 Photo Printing fee will be added to your request.
- Passport: Applicant must submit their current, signed passport. A visa is a stamp or sticker applied to the passport by the Embassy or consulate, therefore the original passport is required.
- Invitation Letter: Applicant must submit a Letter of Invitation (LOI) from the inviting party or organization. The LOI should contain the applicants name and title, detail the purpose of the visit, provide dates of the visit and should be signed by a company officer with contact details included.
Scanned/printed copies are generally acceptable.
- Proof of Travel: Applicant must submit a flight reservation from a travel agency or online booking tool (such as an e-confirmation) showing departure from the US and arrival/departure for the destination.
- Business Cover Letter: Applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter (BCL) from a US company. A BCL is an original document on company letterhead signed by a company official. It must provide the dates, duration and purpose of the trip. It should also include contact details (name and address) of an individual at the host company. Close the letter by accepting moral and financial responsibility for the applicant. Please review the template below.
- Scanned Copy of Passport: Applicant must submit a scan of their current, signed passport. The visa is issued electronically.
- e-Visa Notice: This visa is for single entry into Vietnam and is valid for 30 days from date put on the application. Using this program, applicant does not send any physical documents to Travel Visa Pro. The entire process is handled electronically. When the visa is issued, applicant will be provided an electronic confirmation to print and carry while traveling.
With Vietnam e-Visa, you can enter Vietnam through any of the following international airports: Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City, Nha Trang City, Hai Phong City, Phu Quoc Island or through any of the international land border crossings.
- Notice For Placing Order for E-visa: When placing your order online you will be asked to select inbound and return shipping options. As E-visa’s are handled electronically and no physical documents need to be sent, if only ordering E-visa(s), select “Applicant will handle shipping” to avoid unnecessary shipping fees.
- Notice For Placing Order for Loose-Page Visa: When placing your order online you will be asked to select inbound and return shipping options. For inbound, please select “Applicant will handle shipping” to avoid unnecessary shipping fees. Instead, please upload documents to your online order. For Return shipping, please select the option of your choice.
- Lose-Page Visa Notice:: This visa is for single entry or multiple entry into Vietnam and is valid for 90 days or 180 days from date put on the application. Traveling to Vietnam on a business visa requires careful preparation and understanding of both the application process and the rules of entry. Firstly, ensure you have a valid passport with at least six months’ validity beyond your planned date of departure from Vietnam, along with blank pages for immigration stamps. Travelers must apply for a business visa in advance, which may involve obtaining an invitation letter from a partner organization in Vietnam. This letter is critical, as it verifies the purpose of your visit and often specifies the duration of stay, so ensure it meets all requirements.
While in Vietnam, it’s essential to adhere to local regulations regarding business conduct. Keep in mind that Vietnam has strict laws against certain activities that are common in other countries, such as taking photos of government buildings or sensitive sites. Always conduct yourself professionally, as local etiquette may differ from what you’re used to. Understanding cultural customs and business practices will facilitate smoother interactions and more successful meetings, making your business trip more productive.
One important aspect to watch out for is the expiration of your visa. Overstaying your visa in Vietnam can lead to significant fines or even being banned from re-entering the country. Make a note of your visa’s expiration date and consider planning any necessary extensions well in advance, as this process can take time. Staying organized with your travel schedule and documents will help you avoid unintentional violations of immigration laws.
For a seamless experience, it’s advisable to secure accommodations that cater specifically to business travelers, offering amenities like reliable internet and meeting facilities. Network with local contacts before your arrival, as they can provide valuable insights into the business climate and assist you during your stay. Also, consider downloading essential travel apps that can help navigate local transportation and translation issues.
