Application Requirements For Vietnamese Visas In San Diego
When applying for a Vietnamese visa in San Diego, it’s essential to meet the specific documentation and eligibility requirements to ensure a smooth and successful application process. Whether you’re traveling for tourism, business, or another purpose, you’ll need to provide a valid passport, a completed visa application form, a recent passport-sized photo, and additional documents based on your visa type, such as an invitation letter or proof of travel arrangements. Travel Visa Pro simplifies this process by guiding you through each step and ensuring all your documents meet the consulate’s standards. Here are the requirements to apply for a Vietnam visa:
- Visa Application: Applicant must submit one completed visa application receipt. The application is completed online using the link below. Once the page loads you will see a warning in Vietnamese, which translates to “You have 15 minutes to fill the form. Field with (*) is required” – click “Ok”. You may then select “English” from the top right and complete the application form. You will see a photo upload tool. You DO NOT need to do this, an original photo must be submitted with the application regardless. Once completed, print and sign the confirmation. Confirmation should be printed single-sided, and signed in blue or black ink only.
- Photo Requirement: Applicant must submit two (2) identical, color, passport style photographs (no glasses may be worn). The photos must be recent and generally should not be the same used for the passport itself.
If ordering concierge service or Document Pre-Check, you may upload digital photos through your account at no additional cost. Otherwise you can choose to submit digital photos to us via email after placing your order. Simply email them to orders@travelvisapro.com with the applicants full name and order number in the subject line. Additional $20 Photo Printing fee will be added to your request.
- Passport: Applicant must submit their current, signed passport. A visa is a stamp or sticker applied to the passport by the Embassy or consulate, therefore the original passport is required.
- Invitation Letter: Applicant must submit a Letter of Invitation (LOI) from the inviting party or organization. The LOI should contain the applicants name and title, detail the purpose of the visit, provide dates of the visit and should be signed by a company officer with contact details included.
Scanned/printed copies are generally acceptable.
- Proof of Travel: Applicant must submit a flight reservation from a travel agency or online booking tool (such as an e-confirmation) showing departure from the US and arrival/departure for the destination.
- Business Cover Letter: Applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter (BCL) from a US company. A BCL is an original document on company letterhead signed by a company official. It must provide the dates, duration and purpose of the trip. It should also include contact details (name and address) of an individual at the host company. Close the letter by accepting moral and financial responsibility for the applicant. Please review the template below.

Apply For An Expedited Vietnam Visa In San Diego
Traveling to Vietnam requires careful planning, and securing the right visa is a crucial step in this process. Vietnam offers several types of visas depending on the purpose of your visit, whether it be tourism, business, or study. It’s essential to know which type best suits your needs. For most travelers, a tourist visa allows stays for up to 30 days, while business visas can extend longer periods if you have appropriate documentation from your employer. Always ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned arrival date to avoid any issues upon entry.
The visa application process for Vietnam can vary based on your nationality and where you’re applying from. For U.S. citizens in San Diego, Travel Visa Pro is here to simplify this process; we offer expedited services to help you obtain your visa quickly. Make sure to gather all necessary documentation, including a completed application form, a passport-sized photo, and any required letters from employers or universities if applicable. It’s advisable to apply well in advance of your travel date to accommodate any unexpected delays.
When preparing for your trip, keep in mind that Vietnam has specific requirements regarding your visa status upon arrival. Upon arrival, you will typically need to show your visa and a completed immigration form. Jet-lagged and tired travelers often overlook this step, but having your documents organized and accessible can significantly reduce stress at the airport. Additionally, familiarize yourself with Vietnamese customs regulations, especially regarding what items you can bring into the country, such as food products and medications.
While traveling throughout Vietnam, be aware of local laws and cultural norms to ensure a smooth experience. It’s crucial to carry a copy of your visa with you at all times, as authorities may require you to present it during routine checks. Additionally, be cautious about your personal belongings, as petty theft can occur in crowded areas. Learning a few basic phrases in Vietnamese can also enhance your interactions with locals and demonstrate your respect for their culture.
Lastly, consider obtaining travel insurance before your journey. Insurance can provide peace of mind, especially in cases of unexpected illness or trip interruptions. Taking the time to understand the visa requirements and local customs, along with planning ahead, will help you enjoy a memorable visit to Vietnam. The first step is determining which type of visa you need based on the purpose of your visit. Vietnam offers various visa options, such as tourist, business, and student visas. For most travelers, a tourist visa is sufficient, typically allowing a stay of up to 30 days. If you plan to stay longer or have specific travel needs, such as work or study, ensure you apply for the appropriate visa well in advance.
Once you’ve established the type of visa you require, gather your documentation. This generally includes a valid passport, passport-sized photos, a completed visa application form, and any supporting documents pertinent to your trip, such as hotel confirmations or invitation letters for business trips. Thoroughly check that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay, as this is a common requirement. For travelers located in San Diego, utilizing services like those offered by Travel Visa Pro can expedite this process, ensuring that you have everything in order without the stress.

Additionally, it is advisable to consult the latest travel advisories and potential health requirements, particularly in light of evolving conditions related to global health issues. Staying informed helps ensure your trip goes as smoothly as possible.
As you prepare for your travels, consider the cultural norms and regulations in Vietnam. Being respectful of local customs enhances your travel experience. It’s also essential to keep the contact details of your country’s embassy in Vietnam handy for emergencies.
