There is much to do in New Zealand, from watching whales to sailing to wine tasting. But before you can leave for this beautiful country, here is something you should do – get a New Zealand tourist visa.
New Zealand Tourist Visa for U.S. Citizens
U.S. travelers to New Zealand can either get a New Zealand tourist visa or an electronic travel authority, otherwise known as the NZeTA. The NZeTA allows you to enter the country for up to 90 days at a time and features multiple entries with a validity of two years. It is an e-visa such that you can apply without sending physical documents. Instead, you will scan the required documents and send them to us. And once the visa is ready, we will send it to you for printing so you can present it to the immigration department on arrival. The application process for this type of New Zealand tourist visa is fast and straightforward, making it a suitable choice for people who want to leave soon.
Please note that you can only get a visa if you want to embark on the following activities:
- You want to visit family or friends in the country – you need to show proof of this,
- You want to participate in tourist activities, like adventure sports or sightseeing,
- You want to study, or
- You want to get married.
The New Zealand tourist visa is only applicable for short-term stays. If you would like to stay longer or engage in activities other than those stated above, please talk to our agents about other options.
