Qatar Business visa applicants must meet the following requirements. Remember you can also purchase one of our VIP services to help you manage most of these requirements for you and get your visa faster:
- Visa Application: Applicant must submit one completed visa application. Applications should be printed single-sided and signed in blue or black ink only.
- Business cover letter: Applicant must submit a business letter from either the sending company in the US or sponsoring company in Qatar. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to the Embassy of Qatar, and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above). Business letters from US companies should adhere to the following guidelines:
• Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
• State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e.. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Qatar.
• Specify the type and desired validity of the visa (i.e.. one year multiple entry business visa).
• Guarantee of sufficient funds for travel.
- Proof of Travel: Applicant must submit a copy of computer-generated itinerary or e-ticket. Itinerary should include applicant’s full name (as printed in their passport) and flight details.
- Photo Requirement: Applicant must submit two (2) identical, color, passport style photographs (no glasses may be worn). The photos must be recent and generally should not be the same used for the passport itself.
If ordering concierge service or Document Pre-Check, you may upload digital photos through your account at no additional cost. Otherwise you can choose to submit digital photos to us via email after placing your order. Simply email them to orders@travelvisapro.com with the applicants full name and order number in the subject line. Additional $20 Photo Printing fee will be added to your request.
- Letter of Invitation: Applicants not working under contract for a US Government project must submit a Letter of Invitation from the inviting party or organization. The LOI should contain the applicants name and title, detail the purpose of the visit, provide dates of the visit and should be signed by a company officer with contact details included.
Scanned/printed copies are generally acceptable.
- Passport: Applicant must submit their current, signed passport. A visa is a stamp or sticker applied to the passport by the Embassy or consulate, therefore the original passport is required.
- US Agency Letter: Applicants working under contract for a US Government project must submit a letter from the US Department of State, sending department, or agency, addressed to “Embassy of Qatar, Washington D. C. “, explaining purpose of travel, duration of stay, and dates of the trip.
The letter must contain the applicant’s name and the passport number. This letter is in addition to the business letter from the applicant’s company.

When planning a trip to Qatar on a business visa, it’s important to understand the basic rules and guidelines to ensure a smooth entry into the country. Qatar offers business visas for various purposes, including meetings, conferences, and trade-related activities. Applicants must typically provide a letter from their employer or an invitation from a Qatari business, detailing the nature of the visit. Additionally, it’s essential that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned arrival date in Qatar.
While the visa process may seem straightforward, there are key things to watch out for. Incomplete applications can lead to delays or denials, so double-check that all required documents are submitted along with your application. Be mindful of specific entry requirements related to health, such as vaccinations or medical clearances, particularly in the context of evolving travel regulations. It’s also crucial to familiarize yourself with Qatar’s cultural norms and business etiquette to ensure respectful interactions during your visit.
Tips for navigating the visa application process include starting early and staying organized. Keep a checklist of required documents to track your progress and ensure nothing is missed. Make use of online resources and official guidelines provided by the Qatari government to remain up to date on any changes in visa regulations. If available, consider utilizing expedited services to avoid last-minute stress, especially if there are urgent travel dates looming.
