Ghana Business visa applicants must meet the following requirements. Remember you can also purchase one of our VIP services to help you manage most of these requirements for you and get your visa faster:
- Ghana Visa Application Worksheet: Please fill out Ghana Visa Worksheet.
- Business Cover Letter: Applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter (BCL) from a US company. A BCL is an original document on company letterhead signed by a company official. It must provide the dates, duration and purpose of the trip. It should also include contact details (name and address) of an individual at the host company. Close the letter by accepting moral and financial responsibility for the applicant. Please review the template below.
- Proof of Travel: FOR SINGLE ENTRY VISA ONLY: Applicant must submit a flight reservation from a travel agency or online booking tool (such as an e-confirmation) showing departure from the US and arrival/departure for the destination.
FOR MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA: Applicant does not need to provide itinerary.
- Photo Requirement: Applicant must submit two (2) identical, color, passport style photographs (no glasses may be worn). The photos must be recent and generally should not be the same used for the passport itself.
If ordering concierge service or Document Pre-Check, you may upload digital photos through your account at no additional cost. Otherwise you can choose to submit digital photos to us via email after placing your order. Simply email them to orders@travelvisapro.com with the applicants full name and order number in the subject line. Additional $20 Photo Printing fee will be added to your request.
- Passport: Applicant must submit their current, signed passport. A visa is a stamp or sticker applied to the passport by the Embassy or consulate, therefore the original passport is required.
- Invitation Letter: Applicant must submit a Letter of Invitation (LOI) from the inviting party or organization. The LOI should contain the applicants name and title, detail the purpose of the visit, provide dates of the visit and should be signed by a company officer with contact details included.

Navigating the business visa application process for Ghana can be daunting, but understanding the basic rules and guidelines can ease your journey. First and foremost, ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in Ghana. Alongside your passport, you will need a completed visa application form, which can be submitted online. This includes providing personal information, the purpose of your visit, and any relevant travel plans. Additionally, a recent passport-sized photo is required, as well as a letter from your company stating the purpose of your trip and confirming your employment status.
When applying for a Ghana business visa, it’s crucial to double-check the documentation requirements, as missing information could lead to delays or outright rejection of your application. You will typically need to provide an invitation letter from a business partner in Ghana, and it may also help to include other supporting documents, such as your flight itinerary and hotel reservations. Pay close attention to the visa fees and processing times, as these can vary based on your urgency. For those needing rapid processing, opting for expedited services is advisable.
Be mindful of the health and safety regulations in Ghana to ensure a smooth experience during your business trip. This includes understanding vaccination requirements, particularly for Yellow Fever, which is mandatory for entry. It’s also wise to familiarize yourself with local laws and customs to avoid any inadvertent legal issues. Learning a few basic phrases in the local language, Twi, can also help in building rapport with local business associates.
