Thailand Business visa applicants must meet the following requirements. Remember you can also purchase one of our VIP services to help you manage most of these requirements for you and get your visa faster:

- Proof of Sufficient Funds: Applicant must submit a copy of their most recent monthly bank statement.
The statement must clearly show the applicant’s name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, the date of the statement, and the complete transaction record for the month.
This is required of tourist and business visa applicants.
- Photo Requirement: Applicant must submit two (2) identical, color, passport style photographs (no glasses may be worn). The photos must be recent and generally should not be the same used for the passport itself.
If ordering concierge service or Document Pre-Check, you may upload digital photos through your account at no additional cost. Otherwise you can choose to submit digital photos to us via email after placing your order. Simply email them to orders@travelvisapro.com with the applicants full name and order number in the subject line. Additional $20 Photo Printing fee will be added to your request.
- Proof of Travel: Applicant must submit a flight reservation from a travel agency or online booking tool (such as an e-confirmation) showing departure from the US and arrival/departure for the destination.
- Visa Application: Applicant must submit one completed visa application. Applications should be printed single-sided and signed in blue or black ink only.
- Business Cover Letter : Applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter (BCL) from a U. S. company. A BCL is an original document on company letterhead signed by a company official. It must provide the dates, duration and purpose of the trip. It should also include contact details (name and address) of an individual at the host company. Close the letter by accepting moral and financial responsibility for the applicant. Please review the template below.
- Invitation Letter: Applicant must submit a Letter of Invitation (LOI) from the inviting party or organization. The LOI should contain the applicants name and title, detail the purpose of the visit, provide dates of the visit and should be signed by a company officer with contact details included.

When traveling to Thailand for business purposes, obtaining a business visa is essential to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. The standard procedure involves submitting a visa application along with supporting documents, such as a passport valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay, a completed visa application form, an invitation letter from your business partner in Thailand, and proof of financial stability. It’s important to plan ahead and allow ample time for processing, especially if you opt for a standard service instead of expedited one.
One important guideline to keep in mind is that your business visa must be strictly used for professional activities; engaging in work that does not align with your visa’s purpose can result in penalties or even a ban from re-entering the country. Additionally, the Thai government is strict about the duration of stay allowed under a business visa, typically granting an initial entry of 90 days with the possibility to extend. Prior to your departure, familiarize yourself with the specific regulations and documentation required for your situation to avoid any delays or issues upon arrival.
When in Thailand, remember that maintaining good relationships is key in a business setting. Bowing slightly, offering business cards with both hands, and adhering to the local customs show respect and enhance your business interactions. Furthermore, different regions in Thailand may have varying business etiquette, so understanding local practices can lead to more successful negotiations.
While you manage your business affairs, stay cautious about any legal restrictions, such as those related to public behavior, and ensure that your business activities comply with Thai laws. Getting proper advice on compliance matters will help you navigate any potential pitfalls and ensure that your time in Thailand is both productive and enjoyable. It’s also wise to keep copies of all your important documents, including your business visa, to avoid losing critical information during your travels.
For those looking to simplify the business visa application process, Travel Visa Pro offers nationwide services designed to handle every aspect of your application. Our VIP service packages are tailored to manage all your documentation needs and facilitate appointments, shipping, and delivery. Our experienced team is here to assist you every step of the way.
